MotoGP Full Sprint Results | Martin converts pole position into Saturday victory

Jorge Martin won the MotoGP Sprint at the British Grand Prix, and extended his lead in the riders' standings. He is now 17 points ahead of second-placed Ai Ogura.

Despite being a bit cautious about tyre degradation in his post-qualifying interview after claiming pole position earlier today, Martin led the Sprint from start to finish and claimed all 12 points. Only Ai Ogura could stay close to the Spaniard, with the Japanese rider finishing in second place.

Tyre degradation hurt the Ducatis instead, as after the halfway point of the Sprint, Marco Bezzecchi overtook both Marc Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio without any trouble. Returning from injury, the Italian Aprilia rider finished third.

Alex Marquez finished fourth after he also managed to overtake Di Giannantonio. Marc Marquez crossed the finish line in ninth place after being overtaken by Pedro Acosta, Joan Mir, and Franco Morbidelli.

Home favourite Cal Crutchlow was unable to complete the Sprint. He entered the pit lane on Lap 3 after crashing at Turn 4 shortly after the start as well.
