Indiana Reacts Survey: Do the Hoosiers have the best defensive line in college football?

Indiana football’s already formidable 2026 defense got a huge boost this past week.

Stephen Daley and Kellen Wyatt, key pieces of the Hoosier defensive line in 2025, received fifth seasons of eligibility following a court ruling and promptly returned to the roster just in time for fall camp.

They join a defensive line consisting of a few returners like Tyrique Tucker, Mario Landino and Daniel Ndukwe alongside newcomers like former Tulsa lineman Joe Hjelle and a pair of former Kansas State linemen in Tobi Osunsanmi and Chiddi Obiazor.

Daley and Wyatt, the former of whom led the Big Ten in tackles for loss, were already part of a strong group that was key to Indiana’s national championship a season ago. Now they’re back with a unit that could prove even better in 2026.
