The San Francisco Giants welcome the Houston Astros to Oracle Park tonight to begin a three-game series.

Taking the mound for the Giants will be right-hander Blade Tidwell, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.18 ERA, 3.20 FIP, with 13 strikeouts to four walks in 17 innings pitched. His last start was in the Giants’ 5-4 loss to the Texas Rangers last Tuesday, in which he allowed two runs on six hits with three strikeouts and a walk in five innings.

He’ll be facing off against Astros right-hander Hayden Wesneski, who enters tonight’s game with a 3.86 ERA, 3.00 FIP, with eight strikeouts to four walks in 11.2 innings pitched. His last start (his second for the Astros this year) was in their 7-2 win over the Toronto Blue Jays last Tuesday, in which he allowed two runs on four hits with four strikeouts and two walks in six innings.
