Suspect sought for unprovoked Toronto stabbing; gun seized, pair charged in St. Catharines

Toronto Police are looking to identify a male suspect following an allegedly unprovoked stabbing Friday morning.
Police said officers responded at approximately 8:10 a.m. to a call for a stabbing in the Bloor and Yonge Sts. area.
It was reported that male victim was walking alone on the sidewalk when he was approached from behind by an unknown male suspect.
Police allege the suspect, unprovoked, stabbed the victim and then fled the area.
The victim was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, cops said.
Investigators describe the suspect as between 5-foo-8 and 5-foot-10 with a medium build and a full beard.
The suspect was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, blue vest, light grey pants with side pockets, brown leather shoes with mustard-coloured laces, and a backwards black baseball cap with white writing.
Investigators released images of the suspect.

GUN SEIZED, PAIR CHARGED IN ST. CATHARINES
Two people face several firearms charges following an incident at a St. Catharines bar Friday night.
And Niagara Regional Police said one of the individuals taken into custody is also accused of breaching a release order.
Police said Saturday that officers were conducting proactive patrols in the downtown area when they were notified by security of an incident at a bar on St. Paul St.
According to police, security guards stopped two patrons from attempting to enter the bar while they allegedly concealed an illegal firearm. The pair then fled the scene and security notified the cops.
After conducting a search of the area, the officers located and arrested the two suspects, police said. During the investigation, cops seized a 9mm Glock 43 Handgun loaded with live ammunition rounds.

Giovanni Jervis, 26, and Aireonna Wilson, 20, both of St. Catharines, have been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, careless use of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of prohibited ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of a firearm without holding a licence, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
Jervis is also accused of failing to comply with a release order.
