Auburn baseball to face SEC rival in fall exhibition

The Auburn Tigers have added another game to its fall ball schedule, this time against an SEC rival.
Auburn baseball announced Wednesday that they will face off against SEC foe Mississippi State on Friday, Oct. 9 at Kessler Federal Park in Biloxi, Mississippi, home of the Milwaukee Brewers' AA affiliate, the Biloxi Shuckers. The game is slated to start at 6 p.m. CT.

It is the second announced game that Auburn will play during its fall practice schedule. One day later, Auburn will travel to Pensacola, Florida to face Florida State in a fall exhibition at Blue Wahoos Stadium, home of the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the AA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
Auburn baseball took two of three games from the Bulldogs during the 2026 season, winning the final two games of the series after dropping a 10-3 decision on Friday, May 7. Like Auburn, Mississippi State's 2026 slate ended with a NCAA Super Regional loss to an SEC rival. Auburn dropped two games to Ole Miss during the Auburn Super Regional while Mississippi State fell to Georgia in an exciting, offensive-driven Athens Super Regional.
Both teams aim to return to the College World Series, and a fall exhibition game against one another will provide a great measuring stick to see how far along each program is before the spring.
