Austin and David “Ducky” share a love of baseball. Both brothers play the sport and are die-hard Boston Red Sox fans, despite living hundreds of miles away in Charlotte, North Carolina.

When their mom, Charlie Sue, finally got tickets to see the Red Sox play, she knew she wanted to surprise the boys.

The brothers’ school start times are two hours apart, so Charlie needed a plan that would get them ready at the same time. She decided to tell them that their grandfather, Bob, was going to watch them while she was away for work.

“But before I left, I would go grab breakfast with them before school,” she said.

Little did they know, they were in for a major surprise when they opened the car doors. Sitting on their seats were two piles of Red Sox gear waiting for them.

That’s when Charlie delivered the news: They weren’t going to school that day. They were going to a Red Sox game in Atlanta!
