Caught on camera: Goats board city bus

Two goats were recently caught on video attempting to board a city bus in Portland, Ore.
Two curious pygmy goats were wandering around that city when they boarded the bus through the rear doors. Footage shows them on the bus for a few seconds before the rear doors re-opened and a transit user gets up to shoo them off of the bus. The goats then hop off the bus and return to their city trek.
Trimet (Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon) replayed the footage of the goats’ galavanting on its Instagram page, titling the post: “Kids these days.” The post as of early Tuesday afternoon gained nearly 100,000 likes.
Wandering goats
“Someone called 9-1-1 to report two pygmy goats wandering loose in the area. Our team checked footage from our FX2 bus station cameras and, sure enough, found them,” Trimet posted.
“As they kept watching, they discovered the goats had briefly boarded a bus before hopping back off. The operator spotted them and reopened the doors. The goats wandered back toward the shopping center near the northeast corner of the intersection, where they disappeared from our cameras.”
Portland Police scoured the area for the goats but it looks like they gave cops the slip, wandering toward a nearby shopping centre.
“ Portland Police checked the area, but we don’t know if the goats were ever located. There were also no additional calls about loose goats later that day,” Trimet posted.
The transit system does have several questions following the incident.
“ So where did they come from? Where were they going? Did they have valid fare? Some questions may never be answered.”
