Dolphins a team to watch in McCarthy rumors
After trading Quinn Ewers to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday, the Dolphins reportedly cut Cam Miller on Sunday morning. That leaves them without a No. 2 quarterback behind Malik Willis. Could they be making moves before acquiring McCarthy from Minnesota?
The only remaining QB on Miami’s roster is former South Dakota State and Iowa star Mark Granowski, who certainly isn’t ready for a backup job as a rookie.
Insider doesn’t think McCarthy makes the team
Alec Lewis, a very respected beat reporter covering the Vikings for The Athletic, didn’t include McCarthy on his final 53-man roster prediction.
“McCarthy’s rough week added further murkiness about his status for 2026,” Lewis wrote. “McCarthy’s comfort (or lack thereof) with being QB3 could dictate his future in Minnesota.”
