Because James Pearce has confirmed in the Athletic that the left-footed attacker will be on the sidelines for up to three MONTHS as a result of shoulder surgery.
“Liverpool youngster Josh Abe is set to be sidelined for around three months after having an operation on his right shoulder,” the report reads.
“He's been hampered by a long-standing issue with his shoulder and the decision was taken for him to undergo surgery.”

Joshua Abe inks new Liverpool deal
Abe made the step up to Andoni Iraola’s first-team squad for the preseason tour to the United States - after signing a new contract at Anfield.
Liverpool held off competition from Real Madrid and Manchester City for the teenage sensation - who pledged his future to the club where he’s been since the age of four.
Abe spent time training with the first team under Arne Slot last season - demonstrating the pathway available to him should he choose to remain on Merseyside.
The end of last season was hampered by a leg injury suffered on international duty - and this summer was supposed to herald the major breakout of Abe’s career.
Those plans are now on ice however with Abe confirming the result of surgery on his Instagram Stories in recent days.
