Alabama basketball adds Furman to loaded exhibition slate before 2026-27 season

Alabama basketball has scheduled a third preseason test against a familiar opponent before officially embarking on its 2026-27 non-conference slate.
The Crimson Tide is set to host Furman for an exhibition on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Coleman Coliseum, according to the Paladins’ non-conference schedule release on Wednesday, September 2. The matchup will mark the second straight year Alabama and Furman have met in an exhibition.

Last season, the Crimson Tide traveled to Greenville, South Carolina, to face the Paladins before returning home with a 96-71 victory. This time, Furman will make the trip to Tuscaloosa as Alabama prepares for its eighth season under coach Nate Oats.
The game will start the Crimson Tide's exhibition slate, which also includes the Ballin' in Boutwell exhibition against Ole Miss on Thursday, Oct. 15 and "The Feud" exhibition against Auburn on Thursday, Oct. 22.
