Max Strus unveils the secret behind his weird handshake with Jimmy Butler

Appearing on the ‘Link with JB’ show, Strus discussed Butler’s unique sense of humor along with the story of their famous handshake.

“He always has this sense of humor where he doesn’t like anybody. To some that’s off putting but I thought It was hilarious. This guy isn’t going to say hi to me today? He’s an interesting guy.

One day he loves you, one day he doesn’t. One day I just walked up to him and was like [middle finger gesture]. He loved that,” Strus said.

He added, “Jimmy’s the best. I love Jimmy. Probably one of, if not the best player I ever played with. His IQ for the game and the way he plays is everything I think a lot of people should be about.”

Strus further revealed that to truly commemorate their handshake, he gifted Butler a wooden middle finger as a gift.

The two players will be in the same conference next season with Strus joining the Los Angeles Clippers while Butler remains a key member of the Warriors.
