Well that win had me jumpin around (after we all got past that underwhelming first half). 13-0 in Shamrock Series games, no big deal

As we head through what should be an exciting and incredibly interesting Notre Dame Fighting Irish season, just like previous years, I will be compiling and explaining away takes after seeing some WILD OVERREACTIONS to this game and all games this season. These will mostly come from takes, emotions, and thoughts I see or hear during the games or immediately following games. I also get these mostly from Twitter, but if you all ever see one I should pay attention to, put them in the thread on our website or send them to me via @mattygofd on Twitter.
Online Overreactions to the ND Victory vs. Wisconsin
Whole crowd is red, Notre Dame fans don’t travel well it seems 😂😂😂

I love how in the replies this was immediately done away with via a civilian’s community note. It turns out it was a pretty even crowd, with probably a slight advantage to ND fans. It was a Shamrock Series, after all.
Notre dame football is just Clemson without the southern hospitality

I gotta be honest, I’m not even sure I know what this means. It was at the end of the first half when it admittedly was a struggle for the Irish. I just love how the team goes on a tear in the second half, making this statement utterly ridiculous. The two programs are so clearly going in different directions. Also, it’s Midwest Nice up in here so the whole tweet is just incorrect.
I'm cool with Denbrock getting fired at this point. Joe Rudolph too. Rolling out the same sorry trash offense we have seen over and over and over. Like I could call this crap

Congrats. The question everything, longest offseason ever, leave no doubt has left a crap B1G team…
Listen, I too was getting upset at Denbrock’s conservative approach in a season opener yet again. But there were definitely adjustments made after the second quarter, and the offense got in a rhythm. Calling for his job 2 quarters into the season is juuuussstttt a touch too early. The first half was very frustrating, but not a cause for getting rid of the offensive staff.
