Kelce is also in need of a big season as his future in the league also continues to be questioned given he is turning 37 in the coming weeks.
The future Hall of Fame tight end put 73 yards on the board against the Broncos, but it was an off-the-ball incident that has seen him come under scrutiny.
As Patrick Mahomes dove in for a touchdown, Kelce appeared to get away with a hold on Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga.
It is fair to say that the supporters watching the game did not miss it, though.

The Chiefs won the game at Arrowhead comfortably on Monday night, with running back Kenneth Walker III stealing the show.
Taylor Swift was in attendance watching Kelce in action, although she was not the biggest fan of being shown on the ESPN broadcast during the game.
Following the Mahomes touchdown, fans took to social media to share their frustrations with the officials over Kelce’s missed hold.
‘The Chiefs are so back,’ replied one fan sarcastically on X.
While another said: ‘KC football is back folks’.
Both teams ended the game with seven penalties each called against them, but there was a feeling that more should have been dished out by the officials.
‘It smells like 2023 again. Chiefs are so back boys and girls,’ added another fan.
One frustrated fan said: ‘I see the refs are in Chiefs postseason form’.
Such an emphatic win for the Chiefs clearly has fans across the rest of the league on alert, with many wondering what level Mahomes would be returning to following his injury last year.
However, many are keen to suggest that the officials had their role to play in the win over Denver: ‘New season same special treatment’.
‘A really bad weekend for NFL officials continues. Yikes,’ said another fan on X.
