Jayson Tatum affirms no beef with Jaylen Brown after latter traded by Boston Celtics

Even after the current NBA collective bargaining agreement (CBA) split them up, the media cannot seem to resist wallowing in the narrative that there might be some sort of beef between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Now a member of the Philadelphia 76ers after Celtics President of Basketball Operations President of Basketball Operations dealt him there for Paul George and draft assets, Brown was the topic of a recent conversation between his costar on the wing in Boston and Dan Patrick as Tatum sat for an interview for the latter's eponymous show.

"There's just so many different narratives," explained the St. Louis native, "and so many different opinions and speculation. For me, I love that guy. What we were able to accomplish together in nine years, right?"
"(We) went to the conference finals five times," Tatum continued. "We went to the championship twice. We won the championship. We've shared all-star games together. You can't talk about him without talking about me and vice versa, right? The success that we've had as just two young kids growing up in this league, and, really just pushing each other."
"Unfortunately, the business of basketball is always going to play a part," said the Celtics star. "Nobody has ever played together for ever. But it's not a thing to be sad or upset about."
"It's a thing to celebrate, what we were able to do, and he's a tremendous person and a player. And I've got nothing but respect, and wish him the best as he moves forward."
