The Celtics were ready to introduce some of their top free agent pickups on Tuesday afternoon. Only a few, Paul George and Mike Conley Jr., showed up. One notable free agent, a recent NBA Champion, was absent.

Mitchell Robinson wasn't part of the press conference. He wasn't available due to personal reasons. The Celtics signed Robinson to a three-year, $47.4 million contract this offseason after he helped the Knicks win their first NBA Championship since 1972-73.
George, who the Celtics got in a trade with the 76ers for Jaylen Brown, said he’s ready to team up with Jayson Tatum, someone he called team leader. Conley was eager to show he has plenty to give.
Robinson is expected to have a big role in the Celtics' frontcourt rotation.

Robinson went on social media to explain why he wasn’t with George and Conley on Tuesday.
In a Snapchat video, Robinson stated his younger brother, Zeek, was hit by a car on Tuesday morning while going for a jog. He said he should be out of the hospital soon.
"I need a huge favor,” Robinson said. "I need ya'll to go reach out to my brother and send him a prayer. Yesterday, around 6 a.m., he was hit by a car. He told me to make a video because he was in the comments, and I guess he reads what people say… This is for him.
"So can ya’ll go text him and give him some words of encouragement and prayers? I would truly appreciate it."
It appears the press conference is the only thing Robinson will need to miss. Robinson has been at team workouts and will be available during training camp (starting on Sept. 29). The Celtics will open the regular season on October 20.
