In 2022, the Cleveland Browns thought they were getting a franchise star when they engaged in a blockbuster trade with the Houston Texans for Deshaun Watson.
Unfortunately, so far, Watson hasn’t been able to bring his Houston form to Cleveland, as fans are starting to question his status as the QB1 of the franchise.

Following the Browns’ terrible 34-10 defeat at the hands of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Watson added insult to injury by pushing back on the criticism from fans and media alike.
Evidently, the Browns fanbase is now furious with Watson’s antics, and veteran sports analyst Stephen A. Smith has sided with the fans.
“Deshaun Watson, in Cleveland, you have been awful. And if you were to get arrested for being awful, I wouldn’t knock it. I said it months ago.
“I’m going to say it again. It has been very, very bad. But I’m going to tell you how you just made it worse,” Smith said on First Take.
He added, “Awful is one thing. Stupid is another. I’m not calling you stupid, Deshaun Watson. Wouldn’t disrespect you like that, bro. I’m calling your actions stupid. You know why?
“You’re complaining about people talking about you playing football. Haven’t you done other things that people could be talking about? They’re not bringing it up, none of it.”
Indeed, had Watson committed to improving after the Browns’ season-opening loss, fans would have rallied behind him in support.
However, Watson lashed out at his critics, making fans even more furious. While there’s still the rest of the season remaining, fans may soon want Watson to be removed from his QB1 status.
