Eddie Hearn Drops Major Hint on Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Trilogy After Shock Talks

Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn has confirmed talks with Chris Eubank Jr and opened the door to a third fight with Conor Benn. Hearn revealed that he recently shared a “very pleasant lunch” with Eubank Jr and his team as both sides discussed a possible future deal. The comments come after Benn left Matchroom for a one-fight deal with Dana White’sZuffa Boxing.

Hearn said a new alliance with Eubank could put him directly against White and Benn in a potential trilogy. He also suggested the fight could take place at 168 pounds. Hearn did not confirm that a deal is close, but his comments show that discussions have taken place. The possible trilogy would add another chapter to one of British boxing’s biggest recent rivalries.
Eddie Hearn and Chris Eubank Jr Talks Take Place
Hearn confirmed that he has spoken with Eubank Jr and his representatives. He said the meeting followed a lunch that he described as “very pleasant.”
“We’ve had a nice lunch. I’ve talked to their team, Napper and Mirror,” Hearn said.
Hearn also revealed that Matchroom came close to working with Eubank Jr before the boxer signed with Boxer. He believes another agreement could still happen.
“We were very close to doing something before we signed with Boxer. Very close. And I think we’ll get close again at some point,” Hearn said.
He added: “Finish your career with me and we’ll have a right old laugh.”
Hearn and Eubank Jr have had a difficult relationship for years, including public disputes and disagreements over boxing business. However, their latest talks show that the promoter is willing to explore a new working relationship.
Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn Trilogy Could Return
Eubank Jr and Benn have already fought twice, with each boxer winning once. Eubank Jr won their first meeting on points in April 2025. Benn then scored two knockdowns before winning the November rematch.
A third Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn fight has been discussed as a possible major stadium event in Britain. Hearn now believes his involvement could add another layer because Benn works with Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing.
“Me on Team Eubank against Dana White and Conor Benn makes the fight twice as big and the trilogy will be interesting,” Hearn said.
Hearn also addressed his role in the earlier fights and said he would approach a third contest differently.
“If I’m on Team Eubank, I’ll make sure everything’s fair this time,” he said. “Chris understands and appreciates that my job last time was to get the edge. And I did that beautifully because I spun the other team around my little finger and I enabled Conor Benn to get the advantage going into the fight.”
Hearn added: “That’s the game. But this time around, it won’t work like that. It’ll be a fair fight and it’ll be up at 168.”

Hearn also joked about a possible public showdown involving himself, Eubank Jr, Benn and White.
“You, me, Eubank and me against Conor Benn and Dana White. It’s a terrible mismatch,” Hearn said.
He described the potential arrangement as “the most f***ery thing I’ve ever done” and said it could happen because of the unusual nature of the relationship.
Hearn also discussed Anthony Joshua and a possible fight with Tyson Fury. He said Joshua wants the fight in the United Kingdom and rejected suggestions that additional money could move the event to the United States.
On Ben Davison’s role, Hearn said: “He’s always been there. He respects him as a trainer. He thinks he’s got a very sharp mind. Let’s not forget he was Tyson Fury’s trainer. He knows Tyson Fury inside out… and he knows how to beat him.”
Asked whether Davison would be in Joshua’s corner against Fury, Hearn replied: “We shall see. AJ will always announce his corners.”
Hearn also said there was “no fallout” with Oleksandr Usyk’s camp. For now, there is no confirmed deal for Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 3, but Hearn has made clear that talks with Eubank Jr have resumed.
