Exeter's Lexi Paterna sets meet record, BG's Fischer also victorious at Manchester Invitational

At the 51st edition of the Manchester Invitational, Exeter High School senior Lexi Paterna won the girls large school race in meet-record time.
Paterna finished the Derryfield Park course in 17 minutes, 57 seconds, which was 28 seconds ahead of runner-up Acadia Enman, a junior at Mt. Mansfield Union in Jericho, Vermont.

Bishop Guertin's Ethan Fischer won the boys large school race in narrower fashion. The junior harrier held off runner-up Ben Groves of Hanover by seven seconds, finishing in 15:56.
Exeter finished third overall and were the top New Hampshire team in the girls large school division.
Fisher, Groves, a senior, and third-place finisher Benjamin Holoch, a senior at Champlain Valley Union in Hinesburg, Vermont, all finished the second mile in 10:40.
The Lebanon girls were the only team champions from New Hampshire, capturing the small school crown with 74 points — 22 ahead of runner-up Noble and Greenough, a prep school in Dedham, Mass.
Raiders freshman Jill Campbell won the small school individual title, taking first place with her time of 18:37, 53 seconds ahead of the runner-up time (19:30).
