Davante Adams has monster day for Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football

Former Green Bay Packers star receiver Davante Adams hauled in eight passes (including two touchdowns) for 195 yards on Monday Night Football in the Los Angeles Rams' 28-6 win over the New York Giants on Sept. 21.

It marked the second-best receiving yardage game for Adams since he left the Packers following a trade to the Las Vegas Raiders after the 2022 season. He's exceeded the yardage total only three times before in his career, including when he caught 11 passes for 206 yards in an overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals with the Packers in 2021.

Adams also caught nine balls for 198 yards with the New York Jets in December 2024 and caught 13 passes for 196 yards and two scores with the Packers against the Houston Texans in 2020.

Adams, 33, caught a 31-yard pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford, 38, for a touchdown in the first quarter and added an 11-yard scoring connection in the third. Adams also caught a 64-yard pass during the game.

Adams, who was targeted 10 times in the win, caught just three passes for 26 yards in the opener against the San Francisco 49ers on Sept. 10, a 27-7 loss in Australia.

Adams led the NFL last season with 14 touchdown catches despite playing in just 14 games with the Rams and catching just 60 passes for 789 yards, the lowest career marks since his second season with the Packers in 2015.

The Rams were playing without their top receiver, Puka Nacua, as he nursed a hip injury.
