Cody Ware finished 34th Sunday at Kansas Speedway after spending most of the afternoon near the rear of the field. Ware started 35th in the No. 51 Rick Ware Racing Chevrolet.

The team avoided the major incidents that ended Noah Gragson’s race and damaged several others. Ware remained on track through the finish and completed 262 of 267 laps, ending the afternoon five laps behind Kyle Larson.
Ware received three points for the 34th-place result. He is not competing in the Chase, so the points count only toward his final season standing and have no effect on the Cup Series title fight. Kansas was primarily a race-completion day for the No. 51 team, with Ware gaining one position from his starting spot and bringing the car to the checkered flag.
