BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- D'Youville University hosted the release of sports historian Greg Tranter's newest book on Thursday, 'Ralph C. Wilson Jr., The Conscience of the NFL.'

Tranter said that fans of the Bills will be fans of his book.
“It's the history of the team through his eyes, so I think they'll really like that," Tranter said. "I think they'll learn things about him that people don't know, like his military history; he was a naval guy for World War II, he spent five years in the Navy, and there's some great stories about him in the Navy, so I think they'll appreciate all that."
The book is officially on sale in local bookstores and online.
