SEC podcaster feels Texas A&M can 'win its next four games'

· Yahoo Sports

College Football analysis in today's social media-driven landscape is a mixed bag, as opinions receive more attention than fact-based analysis, but I have to give credit where credit is due amid Texas A&M's struggles: Cousin Shane of That SEC Podcast was right.

Visit cat-cross.com for more information.

A month before the 2026 season began, Cousin Shane stated to his co-host Mike Bratton that, even after making the College Football Playoff last season, the Aggies' chances of making it back to the CFP were slim to none, and after four games, this projection is spot on, especially after back-to-back blowout losses to Kentucky at home and LSU on the road.

Redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed threw for a career-low 106 yards and an interception against the Tigers and has lost the fan base's trust, while third-year coach Mike Elko continues to back him heading into Saturday night's home matchup vs. Arkansas.

With eight games remaining in the regular season, Cousin Shane will likely continue to throw jabs at the Aggies if this level of play continues, but on Thursday, the popular podcaster changed his tune, picking Texas A&M to win its next four games against Arkansas, Missouri on the road, Citadel, and Alabama on the road.

Not to say Cousin Shane reads Aggies Wire or pays much attention to what those of us in Aggie media are saying, but I fully agree: Texas A&M's roster is much too talented to struggle and play with this level of inconsistency on both sides of the ball.

Texas A&M will look to rebound against Arkansas on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN2.
