Toronto Police say officers responded to a call regarding an alleged sexual assault at Main Subway Station just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 30.

“It is reported that the victim exited the eastbound train and went to the mezzanine level of the station,” police said in a statement released Wednesday. “A man came up behind the victim and sexually assaulted her.”

Police said the man then fled the area on foot.

The alleged victim was not physically injured.

Investigators subsequently identified a suspect but they don’t know his name, so they have now released images of the man hoping members of the public will recognize him and come forward.

The suspect is described as 20 to 30 years old, with a large build, short brown hair, a light beard, and a cross tattoo on his left wrist.

He was wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants, glasses, off-white Nike sneakers, and a white and black Air Jordan backpack at the time of the alleged incident.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s identity or whereabouts is urged to call police at 416-808-5500 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
