The narrative around Pages

Pages has been an elite defender over the last two years and has shown sustained flashes of offensive production, but in the postseason, he would see a notable decline.

In 2024, he hit .211/.250/.526, a solid run, though in 2025, he went 4-for-55 with a .078/.113/.098.

All in all, questions remained about his ability to produce in 2026 despite his best season to date.

Pages put up a 6.0 bWAR season, hitting .274/.343/.468 with 23 home runs. He cut his strikeouts from 135 to 113 over the year and raised his walks from 29 to 49.

His approach matured, with better swing decisions, taking his bases, and a good read on the baseball.

However, he started the postseason 0-for-7, and it looked like things would keep spiraling downward.

Still, manager Dave Roberts never wavered. “I’m going to continue to give Andy a leash. I believe in him,” Roberts said.

Then, Pages repaid the faith.

Pages changing his perception

In Game 3, the righty went 2-for-4, struck out once, and ended up on base to add an extra run to Kike Hernandez’s two-run blast.

It all culminated in Game 4, when Pages hit a clutch two-run RBI single with two outs and the bases loaded.

He finished 4-for-7 with two RBIs in the last two games, helping to close out the series.

With two good games in his pocket and the rust shaking off from his injury layoff, Pages is set up to be a key player for the Dodgers and help the team win a three-peat.
