OHSAA playoff picture for Stark County high school football teams

When Week 9 of the high school football season kicks off tonight, five Stark County teams and one other from the area will take the field knowing they've already clinched a spot in the Ohio High School Athletic Association playoffs. And the rest of the area teams except for one still have their postseason hopes alive to at least some extent, with several likely needing to win one or two more games and others needing quite a bit of help.

The OHSAA official final football computer ratings for the 2026 season will be released Sunday, Oct. 25. The top 12 teams in each region of the final report will qualify for the playoffs, with the top four seeds getting a first-round bye. The playoffs begin Friday, Oct. 30.
