Another week of the fall high school sports season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.

Last week, golf wrapped up its regular season with Taunton securing the non-league season sweep of Dighton-Rehoboth while Bristol-Plymouth soccer scored a key Mayflower Large win over Tri-County and Bridgewater-Raynham soccer snapped a four match losing skid with a 1-0 win over Apponequet. On the gridiron, all four Greater Taunton area football teams were victorious as Bridgewater-Raynham avenged its 2025 MIAA Division 2 semi-final loss with a dominant showing against Bishop Feehan while Taunton, Bristol-Plymouth and Dighton-Rehoboth all ran their ways to victory.
The Taunton Daily Gazette High School Boys Athlete of the Week for Oct. 5-11 is Dighton-Rehoboth football's Artie Holmes, receiving 51.2% of the vote. Bristol Aggie cross country's Brett Gifford came in second with 45.2% while Taunton golf's Brayden Smith received 1.5% to finish third.

Logan Bovill, Bridgewater-Raynham
Bovill had 4 passing touchdowns against Bishop Feehan.
Tim Nixon, Bristol-Plymouth
Nixon had 12 carries for 68 yards, 3 rushing touchdowns and a 2-point conversion run against Tri-County.
Cooper Benfeito, Dighton-Rehoboth
Benfeito had 20 carries for 101 yards and a pair of touchdowns as well as a tackle and a sack against Greater New Bedford.
Soccer
Pierre Auguste, Taunton
Auguste scored the lone goal against Durfee.
Brayden Miller, Bristol-Plymouth
Miller had a brace (2 goals) against Tri-County.
Cross Country
Jordan Trucchi, Taunton
Trucchi finished first overall (17:38) against Franklin.
Golf
Colby Emond, Taunton
Emond shot a 37 (+1) against Sharon.
