Junior cornerback Leonard Moore has been a force of nature on defense for US LBM Coaches Poll No. 8 Notre Dame so far this season.

Moore’s impact has led to him being selected to The Sporting News Midseason All-America team. He was one of two cornerbacks to get the nod, with Clemson’s Ashton Hampton the other selection.

The Irish junior hasn’t filled the statsheets as much, but has locked down his position and thrown off opposing receivers. Moore had 13 tackles and five pass break-ups through five games.

Moore was selected to The Sporting News Preseason All-America first team in August. Since then, he’s been targeted just 16 times so far.
