But there appears to be more optimism about his status compared to last week.

“Just as there was last week, there’s hope that Lamar Jackson is on the practice field tomorrow [Wednesday].” Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network shared on Tuesday.

“I would say more hope this week than last week. This was a chance, it was a multi-week injury. We are at two weeks. Lamar Jackson should, we’ll see, end up practicing this week and potentially play,” added the NFL insider.

The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player sat out Baltimore’s Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons and the team’s Week 6 meeting with the Cleveland Browns. Tyler Huntley handled the quarterbacking chores in both games with different results, as the Ravens defeated the Falcons (30-23 via OT) and lost to the Browns (13-10).

While the Ravens have confidence in Huntley, the team’s floor and ceiling are undeniably higher for Baltimore when it’s Jackson handling the rock. Over the four games he played so far in the 2026 season, the former Louisville Cardinals star quarterback has passed for 967 yards and six touchdowns against an interception on a 70.8 percent completion rate. He also has 144 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

After six weeks, the Ravens have a 4-2 record — tied with the Browns and Bengals for the best in the AFC North Division.
