The Rams' district coronation was put on hold after they fell on the road to the Buccaneers.

As it stands, John Carroll Catholic, Benjamin and Pahokee are tied for first place. The team with the highest ranking at season's end will earn the district title.

The Rams (6-3, 2-1 district) tumbled into a 14-0 hole before Jaydien Pittman cut the deficit in half with a 6-yard touchdown run. The two teams alternated trips into the end zone from there, as a 19-yard rushing touchdown from Felix Jackson was sandwiched between two Buccaneers scores.

Jackson finished with 88 rushing yards on 16 carries.

John Carroll closes out the regular season at 7 p.m. Friday at home against Spruce Creek.

District 13-4A - Sebastian River 29, Port St. Lucie 18

The Sharks finally entered the win column by putting together a solid effort on the road against the Jaguars.

Nene Rosado produced three rushing touchdowns to lead the way. Armani Russell caught a touchdown pass and intercepted a pass on defense. Renzo Clements also had an interception. The defense added a safety.

"We put four quarters together on both sides of the ball," Sebastian River head coach Tony Perry said. "This is what we have been trying to do all year, play four quarters of SRHS football. Very proud of our guys. They kept fighting. That's all we want, and tonight our players did their job."

For Port St. Lucie (1-8, 0-5 district), Takur Mayberry accounted for two touchdowns with a pick-six and a touchdown pass to Anthony Smith. Lyndon Joseph had a touchdown reception from Caleb Maynard, but it wasn't enough.

"We still have a lot of stuff to work on," Jaguars head coach Everette Alford said.

Port St. Lucie ends its season at 6 p.m. Thursday at St. Lucie West Centennial. Sebastian River (1-8, 1-4 district) hosts Harmony at 7 p.m. Friday.

District 12-5A - Martin County 21, Palm Beach Gardens 0

After a 1-4 stretch, the Tigers have climbed back above .500 following back-to-back wins. The latest was a road shutout of the Gators.

"I've really thought that all three phases have played well for two weeks in a row," Martin County head coach Rod Harris said. "I thought the offense really controlled the ball tonight. The offensive line was putting hats on people."

Arhmad Walker rushed for two touchdowns to account for most of the scoring for the Tigers. Manny Louis added a long touchdown pass to Kahlil Taylor.

Meanwhile, Martin County's defense recorded its second shutout of the season.

"We bent a little bit, but didn't break and held them," Harris said. "Anytime you get a shutout, it's a big win for the defense. They played outstanding, and they've been the backbone of the program for a long time."

The Tigers look to extend their winning streak to three games when they play at 7 p.m. Friday at Jensen Beach.

District 12-5A - South Fork 40, Seminole Ridge 14

The Bulldogs secured their first seven-win season in 11 years after racing past the host Hawks.

"We're excited to get seven wins. I told the guys after the game that they should be proud of themselves," South Fork head coach Eric Kresser said. "They turned it around this year, and they've all been working hard, putting in a lot of effort all season long. ... We're feeling pretty good."

The visitors led 26-0 at halftime.

Champ Smith threw two touchdown passes to Jarrod Kelly and another to Matthew Hicks. Smith also added a rushing touchdown. Quinten Dacres and Caden Beard each scored on the ground.

South Fork (7-2, 4-1 district) concludes its regular season at 7 p.m. Friday against Jupiter at Joe Budd Staggs Stadium.

District 8-6A - Fort Pierce Central 42, St. Lucie West Centennial 0

The Cobras snapped a three-game losing streak by blanking the Eagles at Lawnwood Stadium. Freshman Jeremiah Pittman returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, and the rout was on from there.

"That gave us a little bit of juice, and the defense played well all night long," Central head coach Mike Watkins said.

Drew LaPlante had a long touchdown run and threw touchdown passes to Von Adams and Kevin Dixon. Chevy Watts also rushed for a score, while Jaylen Brown returned an interception for a touchdown.

Entering this week on the playoff bubble, the Cobras (5-3, 1-2 district) look to improve their postseason positioning when they take on Fort Pierce Westwood in Showdown 47.

"Trying to reel the kids in and keep them focused on the whole purpose, which is to play in the game and win the game, that's a challenge," Watkins said. "But once you get to the game, that's the exciting part. It's a long-running rivalry between two great schools, so we look forward to it."

Centennial (1-8, 0-3 district) looks to end a six-game scoreless streak next week.

SSAA - St. Edward’s 47, Master’s Academy 13

Upset at home during the teams' first meeting last season, the Pirates emphatically returned the favor by pounding the host Patriots. Up 19-7 at halftime, St. Edward's put the game away with a 28-point third quarter.

"We don't have opponents in town, so that game last year meant a lot to us and we let it slip away," Pirates head coach Rich Schofield said. "As a staff and for all of our returners, that was a long year to be able to get back at it and strap it up. We definitely had this one circled."

Dylan Colontrelle led the way with five total touchdowns, four passing and one rushing. Chase Colontrelle hauled in two touchdown receptions and added a fumble-return touchdown. Coleson Radacke and Triston Scent each added a touchdown reception, while Kayleb Redmon chipped in a rushing touchdown.

Master's Academy (2-8) could not keep pace with the firepower.

"We unfortunately did not play up to our standard," Patriots head coach Stephen Boyer said. "We had a few too many turnovers. And when we did have a little momentum, unfortunately we did not take advantage of it. St. Edward's did a great job and had a great game plan. Congratulations to them."

St. Edward's (6-4) enters the SSAA postseason having won its last four games.

SSAA - Lemon Bay 58, Okeechobee 34

Despite scoring in the mid-30s for the second consecutive week, the Brahmans allowed more than 50 points for the second time in as many weeks during a home loss to the Manta Rays.

Still, Okeechobee head coach Antwan Blatch was encouraged by his team's performance against one of the best teams in the SSAA.

"I'm just proud of our kids. They went toe-to-toe versus one of the best teams in our league," he said.

The Brahmans (3-7) fell into a 14-0 hole after the first quarter but tied the game at 14-14 and pulled within 21-20 in the second quarter before Lemon Bay began to pull away with two touchdowns before halftime.

Chris Sneed had a strong outing in a losing effort. The sophomore quarterback accounted for all five of Okeechobee's touchdowns, four passing and one rushing. Ross Santos and Armani Jenkins each had two touchdown receptions.
