What should residents keep in mind during thunderstorms?

Residents planning outdoor activities should check their local forecasts, particularly in areas expecting afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Motorists should also take care on wet roads, as rainfall could reduce visibility and make driving conditions slippery.

SAWS encourages the public to follow its latest forecasts and weather warnings as conditions change.
