Are Valkyries fans the WNBA's best-dressed?
· Yahoo Sports
The Golden State Valkyries aren't the only ones putting on a show during the WNBA Finals. Their fans have turned San Francisco's Chase Center into a runway of purple wigs, sequins, homemade capes and increasingly elaborate DIY tributes in various violet hues.
All season long, Ballhalla has been a place for energy, fashion and overall good vibes - and the fanfare has only intensified as the team continues to vie for its first championship.

During Game 5 against Atlanta Dream on Monday, Oct. 26, that spirit was showcased everywhere, from the stands inside Chase Center to its surrounding Thrive City plaza - even before the Valkyries won 64-55.
"Especially raising two girls, it's really important for us to bring them to an event that's showing female excellence," said 42-year-old Elizabeth Vo, who brought her two daughters, Julia, 5, and Eleanor, 2, to Monday night's game. "It's made them love basketball."
Her husband, 41-year-old Richard Vo, made DIY Valkyries capes out of flags for each of their daughters to wear for the occasion. Their head-to-toe looks were complete with Valkyries jerseys and purple tights.
San Leandro resident Tricia Kim Walsh, 43, showed up in a purple bobbed wig, sequined bomber jacket and sunglasses.
"It's just electrifying. It feels like you go into outer space and you've gone to a different dimension with the level of camaraderie and connection," Walsh said of Valkyries games. The fan fervor has become one of the Valkyries' defining features since the team launched in 2025. The league has taken notice, too, with the Bay Area crowd earning a reputation for its volume, enthusiasm and willingness to turn a basketball game into a full-on event.
For some, that means finding the perfect shade of purple. For others, it means making something themselves. Either way, each trip to Ballhalla is an excuse to show up in a look that might be just as memorable as what happens on the court.
