No. 2 seed Hasbrouck Heights (7-3) will host No. 3 Butler in next weekend’s sectional semifinals. The Aviators prevailed on their home field in the teams’ NJIC Meadowlands matchup, 30-27 on Oct. 2, en route to the division title.
Haines was injured in the first meeting but got the ball often against the No. 7 seed Cardinals (5-5). He surpassed 200 yards rushing for the second straight game, and the Aviator defense kept Pompton Lakes out of the end zone after the visitors had three first-half takeaways.
