Peter Warrick's return to Doak Campbell Stadium this weekend carries a different distinction. One of the most electrifying players in Florida State history is coming back not as a former star, but as the newest Seminole enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame.

FSU recognized Warrick in the first quarter of Saturday night's game against Clemson as part of the National Football Foundation's On-Campus Hall of Fame Salute. The ceremony will include the unveiling of his NFF Hall of Fame plaque, which will remain on permanent display at Doak.
Warrick, who played for the Seminoles from 1996-99 after redshirting in 1995, was announced in January as Florida State's 12th College Football Hall of Fame inductee. He joins a distinguished group of Seminole legends that includes former coach Bobby Bowden, teammate Warrick Dunn and several other FSU greats.
A two-time consensus All-American, Warrick remains one of the most accomplished receivers in program history. He holds the FSU record with 32 career receiving touchdowns and helped lead the Seminoles to a 45-4 record during his four playing seasons.
A key figure on FSU's 1999 national championship team, Warrick finished his career with 3,517 receiving yards, which stood as the ACC record at the time and still ranks second in school history. He also ranks second at FSU with 207 career receptions, 15 100-yard receiving games and an average of 4.81 receptions per game.
Warrick's Hall of Fame recognition serves as a reminder of the standard he helped establish in Tallahassee and the lasting legacy he continues to hold within FSU football lore.
