The Miami Dolphins faced the New England Patriots on Sunday. Miami put in quite the effort, and it even seemed as if they were going to win. Unfortunately for Malik Willis and his teammates, this did not pan out the way they hoped.
The Dolphins fell to the New England Patriots on Sunday. In the third quarter, they had a 13-10 lead over New England. They seemed to be in position to keep their drive alive as well. However, an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty by Ollie Gordon pushed them back from third-and-four to third-and-20. Willis was not happy with this, as he expressed after the game.
“I mean, Ollie is a competitor and he cares about the game a lot and I was just letting him know that in that situation, that he’s deada** wrong,” Willis told reporters, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “I mean, that’s the honest truth. And it would be wrong if I didn’t tell him the truth.”

The Dolphins were unable to convert on the third-and-20 after the penalty. New England took possession of the ball after that. On the ensuing drive, the Patriots marched down the field and took the lead.
It was a lead New England would not relinquish. The Dolphins added a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late at that point. Miami fell to 1-7 on the season as a result of this defeat.
The Dolphins are looking to recapture some momentum. Their next chance at victory will come on November 8th when the Detroit Lions come to town.
