That performance from the Colts was as bad as it gets

Ugly. That is the best and most PG word I can think of to describe what we witnessed on Sunday in Jacksonville. That is if “we” even watched that game. Maybe you tuned in out of curiosity in the first quarter, but if you stuck around from beginning to end, you are stronger than I am. That was rough. A shattered franchise must now pick up the pieces and figure out what to do.
The Indianapolis Colts weren’t just bad on Sunday; they were horrific. It definitely fit the vibe of Halloween weekend because it was downright terrifying. 28-0 was the score at halftime as a fumble and an interception returned for a touchdown led the way. Tyler Warren had four receptions on ten targets for 18 yards. Ouch. One of them bounced off him and into the arms of a Jags defender who took it to the house. That was the last moment, if there were any before, that one might have thought this team had any fight left.

Daniel Jones is barely throwing the ball downfield. His 144 yards isn’t going to cut it. Actually, it didn’t, as Anthony Richardson came into the game late. Was it because of the blowout, or is there something more? Rumors are starting to swirl that the Colts might make a change. Swapping quarterbacks won’t fix this defense, though. The tackling and coverage were atrocious. This is Chris Ballard’s roster, ladies and gentlemen.
The roster is being picked over like a carcass on the side of the road. The effort is seemingly gone, and other teams are set to feast. As bad as it is, it might get worse. The Colts are back to no viable quarterback, a place where Chris Ballard has had this team for years. They don’t have a first-round pick either. I’m not sure if the Colts have hit rock bottom yet, but it sure is dark. I don’t want to see where they go from here.
