Buffalo vs Miami University Prediction: Who Wants to Stay in the MAC Race?
· Yahoo Sports
Five teams in the MAC have one loss or fewer in conference play – Ohio is 4-0 going into the Tuesday night game against Akron – and others are still hanging around with all of November still to go. There’s no room for Buffalo or Miami University to lose now.
The RedHawks are balling out hard with three wins in a row, but two of them were by one point each. Five of the last six MU games have been decided by four points or fewer.
Buffalo turned around its season in a hurry, winning three straight, including a 23-8 stunner over Toledo. Now it has to show the same magic in its first road game since the win over the Rockets in mid-October.

Why Buffalo Will Win
So how are the Bulls doing this? How are they suddenly a problem for the rest of the MAC? It’s not giving anything away.
The defense has taken the ball away seven times over this three-game winning streak, and overall, the team is dominating at not getting flagged. Zero – that’s how many penalties the Bulls were hit with in the win over Bowling Green, and it hasn’t been caught sinning more than seven times in any of the last seven games.
Why Miami University Will Win
Buffalo isn’t good at completing the forward pass.
Rely on a decent defense that gets off the field, control the pace, don’t screw up, and come up big late. That’s what the Bulls do, but Miami does that a bit better.
UB has to run well to win, because the passing game is happy to hit half of its passes. Here’s the problem with that: the RedHawks are 13th in the nation against the run. They haven’t allowed more than 85 rushing yards in any of their last four games.
Buffalo vs Miami University Prediction, Betting Lines
If you want a ton of high-powered offensive fireworks, look elsewhere.
Both teams need to run, neither one can throw, and neither one makes enough mistakes to matter. Here’s the difference: Miami hits the big play when it does throw, and Buffalo doesn’t.
