Josh Downs-Caleb Downs matchup could be stopped by injury, trade
· Yahoo Sports
This is supposed to be the first NFL matchup between the Downs brothers. There's just one — actually, two — potential issues.
- Dallas Cowboys rookie safety Caleb Downs did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 4, while in concussion protocol.
- Wide receiver Josh Downs might not be on the Indianapolis Colts' roster by 1 p.m. ET Sunday, Nov. 8, when the Colts host Dallas.
Caleb Downs, the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, entered concussion protocol following a Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals and remained there Wednesday. He has also been dealing with an ankle issue.

Josh Downs, the Colts fourth-year receiver, has requested a trade but said Wednesday he's ready to play Sunday.
“I was just open to whatever,” Josh Downs said. “I’ll keep that between me and my close peoples, but I’m going to leave it there. I’m focused on this week. We play the Cowboys.”
