Florida State women's basketball erased a 16-point halftime deficit with a dominant second-half surge to defeat North Florida 74-63 on Thursday afternoon at the Donald L. The Seminoles (2-0) outscored North Florida 47-20 after halftime, including a 26-point third quarter, to improve to 13-0 all-time against the Ospreys and 11-0 at home in the series. Senior guard Solé Williams and freshman guard Morgan Stewart combined for 21 fourth-quarter points to seal the comeback victory.

Stewart paced all scorers with a career-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting off the bench, surpassing her previous personal best for the second consecutive game. She narrowly missed a double-double, matching junior guard Tatum Greene with a team-high nine rebounds while adding three assists and two steals.

Williams finished with 16 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, while tying a career high with six rebounds and dishing out six assists.

FSU held a narrow 19-18 advantage after the opening quarter. Missy Odom knocked down a 3-pointer in the game's opening minute, and Savannah Henderson scored her first points in a Seminole uniform late in the period. Twelve of the Seminoles' 19 first-quarter points came in the paint, while Odom and Williams grabbed three rebounds apiece.

North Florida seized control in the second quarter, capitalizing on interior scoring and efficient perimeter shooting to build a 43-27 halftime lead.

The Seminoles responded immediately after the break behind Timaya Lewis-Eutsey, who scored seven quick points during a 13-4 run over the first four minutes of the third quarter. Stewart added six points late in the period as FSU closed the quarter on an 11-3 run to cut the deficit to 55-53 entering the fourth.

Williams and Stewart then took over. The duo fueled a decisive 13-2 run while holding North Florida without a field goal for the first six minutes of the final quarter. Stewart buried back-to-back 3-pointers during a 12-point fourth-quarter performance, while Williams added nine points down the stretch to help FSU pull away.

FSU shot 39.7% from the field and made eight 3-pointers. The Seminoles also controlled the glass, outrebounding the Ospreys 51-37, and turned 15 forced turnovers into 20 points.

FSU returns to action Sunday when it hosts Florida A&M at 2 p.m. as part of "850 Night."
