Now, of course, we absolutely must remind our faithful readers that the operative word here is "predictions". Because nobody knows who GM Adam Peters will pursue, and, in addition, it always takes two to tango to sign an NFL free-agent deal. With that qualifier out there, Dan Graziano of ESPN has some predictions that Commanders fans are going to love.
Graziano posted a story Friday, containing his predictions for his 20 top free agents. Even Graziano advised his readers, that they are only predictions, adding, "So enjoy. Get mad. Get your hopes up. But no matter what, get ready for some big contracts."
He is correct; there will be big contracts. Made by which NFL teams? We just don't know. But beginning Monday, we will hear that some players are talking with certain teams. In addition, the new league year will officially begin on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
But for now, let's focus on what Graziano sees for the Commanders.
Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III
3-year deal, $44 million, with $22 million guaranteed to the Commanders.
Seahawks WR Rashid Shaheed
3-year deal, $40 million, with $20 million guaranteed to the Commanders
Eagles EDGE Jaelan Phillips
4-year deal, $92 million, with $32 million guaranteed to the Commanders
Of course, other teams will be vying for these three players as well. It all begins Monday, and Commanders Wire will be a reliable source for Commanders fans to stay updated throughout the signing frenzy that will no doubt unfold.
