The Boston Celtics will wrap up their three-game homestand on Wednesday with an intriguing showdown against the Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics beat the Warriors 121-110 when they last met in February in Golden State. Former Boston players Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis both played in that game.

However, only one of them is available tonight.

According to a report from CLNS reporter Bobby Manning on Tuesday, Horford didn't travel with the team to Boston due to a calf injury and will not play on Wednesday. It will be his third straight absence since leaving last Friday's game after just five minutes of court time.

That's disappointing news for Celtics fans who were hoping to see Horford in his first game back at TD Garden since leaving Boston in free agency.

That decision has turned out to be a disaster for the 39-year-old. The Celtics have been one of the best teams in the NBA and are legit Finals contenders, whereas the Warriors have been ravaged by injuries and appear headed for the play-in tournament.

Unless both teams make the Finals, Golden State won't be back this season, so Horford will likely have to wait until next year to play at TD Garden again.

At least Porzingis is healthy and should be able to suit up. He's coming off a 30-point game against the Washington Wizards and will try to lead the undermanned Warriors to a road upset.
