The No. 10 UCLA softball team dropped three spots in the Week 8 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Softball Coaches Poll, which was released on Tuesday, March 31st.

The Bruins were ranked the No. 7 team last week, but collapsed in the Big Ten Conference series matchup against the previously ranked No. 9 Nebraska. However, the Cornhuskers defeated UCLA in two of their three games and jumped up the poll to the No. 8 spot as UCLA dropped down three ranks.

UCLA's two losses against Nebraska ended the Bruins 22-game win streak and dropped them to a 29-5 overall record. Prior to the Bruins' losses versus the Cornhuskers, UCLA had swept their three Big Ten series opponents and built a resume of being one of the most dangerous teams in Division I softball.

Sophomore infielder Kaniya Bragg received UCLA's fourth Player of the Week honors on March 23rd with senior infielder Jordan Woolery being awarded the Bruins other three. The awards lead the Big Ten Conference, according to UCLA.

The Bruins will try to get back on track as they return home for a game against Hawaii on Thursday ahead of their series versus Indiana starting on Friday.
