Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com wrote on Wednesday that "[t]here’s talk of the Broncos possibly bringing Rodgers in for a visit." Florio said such a visit would be motivated by the possibility of Bo Nix (ankle) not being completely recovered in time for Week 1. It turns out, PFT is completely wrong.
One source told Mike Klis of 9News there's “zero percent” chance of the Broncos bringing in Rodgers. Parker Garbriel of the Denver Post confirmed that Denver's not bringing in Rodgers for a visit, with Garbriel's source calling the notion "preposterous." Other reporters have also debunked it.
It's a nonsensical suggestion because owner Greg Penner, general manager George Paton and coach Sean Payton have all said Nix is ahead of schedule in his recovery and on track to be ready for OTAs in early June. If they're being truthful about that, there would be zero concern about Nix being ready for Week 1, three months after OTAs.
It appears that the PFT post is bogus.
