Damon Severson Has Successful Shoulder Surgery

· Yahoo Sports

The Columbus Blue Jackets have announced that defenseman Damon Severson has had surgery to repair the injured shoulder suffered against the Montreal Canadiens.

Severson had been having a very good year for the CBJ, recording 8 goals and 24 assists for 32 points and a +18 plus/minus rating in 71 games.

The loss of Severson started a chain reaction of injuries that has plunged the CBJ into injury chaos. His injury was the first, followed by Dmitri Voronkov, Mathieu Olivier, Isac Lundestrom, and Mason Marchment. Lundestrom returned last night, but Marchment was out.
