Aiyuk's future with the team remains uncertain, and a trade is certainly a possibility as the weekend slowly approaches. 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke to reporters on Monday and said he's had discussions with teams about an Aiyuk trade.
On top of that, Lynch said there's a chance Aiyuk is traded this weekend; however, the odds aren't high.
"I've had some discussions. Do I think it's a high probability? Likely no. Is there a chance? Yeah, I think there's a chance," Lynch said on the chances of the team trading Aiyuk this weekend. "As for that whole dialogue, I think I was candid with you guys in saying that at the end of the season, it's likely that he played his last snap for us. We are all in concert on where we are going with Brandon."

The 49ers currently hold his rights as they are looking to trade the former All-Pro wide receiver. San Francisco hopes to gain valuable compensation; however, given his injuries, that may be a high price for certain teams.
Brandon Aiyuk’s Production Declines After Strong Start
Health has been a constant issue for the former Arizona State Sun Devils, and tension with the front office has only added to an already challenging situation.
The past two seasons for Aiyuk have been a far cry from his stellar play in his first four seasons. From 2020-23, he was productive and healthy, playing in 62 games and recording 269 receptions for 3,931 receiving yards, 25 touchdowns and averaged 63.4 yards per game.
Aiyuk's best season came in 2023, when he earned a spot on the Second-Team All-Pro. Aiyuk recorded career-highs in receiving yards (1,342) and averaged 83.9 yards per reception.
Now, the 28-year-old will likely land with a new team when 2026 approaches, and the 49ers will likely find his replacement in this week's draft.
