Gautier (10-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) will look to continue his tear through the division when he takes on Ozzy Diaz (10-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in Saturday's UFC 328 (Paramount+) featured prelim at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.

Susurkaev (11-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) claimed Gautier is easy money and only has hands. Susurkaev believes Gautier is a one-round fighter and that if he gets tired against him, he'd kill him.

"How can it bother me? It's just a word," Gautier told reporters, including MMA Junkie, at Wednesday's UFC 328 media day. "If you say something, I don't care – it doesn't affect me. But to say 'easy money,' I mean, 'easy money' could be like you'll be in the hospital, maybe like a heart attack, concussion and stuff like that. They say 'easy money,' just show up. Anyway, it's fine. It's fine, still."

Susurkaev competes earlier on the night when he takes on Djorden Santos (11-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC). Gautier was asked if fellow prospect Susurkaev has been on his radar at all.

"As a fighter, I pay attention to every middleweight fighter in my division," Gautier said. "Pay attention to him particularly? No, but the same attention I give to him is the same I give to everybody else. So if we have to fight, let's fight. We're happy. That's what we like, so it's fine as well."
