Cam Newton is asking the question many want answered: Will this whole situation be a distraction for this young team?
Newton said this on his 4th and 1 podcast.
“Does Dart understand being a quarterback? Not only is it an expectation for you to lead this team on the field, but it’s also off the field. See, are we going to talk about, uh, Abdul Carter being a distraction? Because not only did he have said tweets that went viral, but is his production going to catch up to what he was asking”?
He also added, “This is the same person that was asking for LT’s number. ” All right. There are so many different things. Is Jaxson Dart going to be a distraction? See, this team isn’t missing any egos.”
With that being said, the organization has a lot of young and emerging talents. It would be a pressure on the Giants to manage any potential ego clashes so as to keep the team under the radar.”
The Giants may already be in trouble. They’ve lost three players to injury before the season has even started.
