FC Bayern celebrates ‘QUEERPASS Bayern’ anniversary

A landmark anniversary, a varied programme including a new information gazebo – and, as every year, the Allianz Arena lit up in the colours of the rainbow: FC Bayern is once again supporting its 'QUEERPASS Bayern' fan club as part of its 'Red Against Racism' initiative at Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Munich's city centre this Saturday. A special highlight this year: 'QUEERPASS Bayern' is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The fan club members look forward to welcoming everyone who joins them at the CSD from 12:00 CEST onwards to send a joint message of diversity, tolerance and respectful coexistence. The meeting point is from 11.15 by the float with start number 123 in Block E on Erhardtstraße, on the corner of Zweibrückenstraße. This year, the walking group will be accompanied by two FCB vehicles, including one with its own DJ booth. Mascots Berni and Mia will also be joining in once again.

For the first time, in collaboration with ‘QUEERPASS Bayern’, ‘Red against Racism’ will also be present throughout the day with its own information stand, to create a space for discussion about diversity in sport. At the same time, the initiative is supporting the independent queer sports network ‘Sportpride’, which campaigns for the normalisation of queer people in sport.

The stand, which will be supported by members of FC Bayern’s volunteer development programme ‘PACK MA’S’, will be located in the so-called ‘Sportarea’ of the CSD on Ludwigstraße, between Schellingstraße and Geschwister-Scholl-Platz. ‘Sportpride’ will also have a stand there.

As in previous years, the Allianz Arena will once again be lit up in the colours of the rainbow in the evening (from 21.30 - 23:00 CEST).
