Jayden Daniels Claps Back at Brandon Aiyuk After WR Calls Out Commanders QB and His Mother, Unfollows Him

It seems Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has finally had enough of his former college teammate Brandon Aiyuk’s antics. Earlier today, Aiyuk took to Instagram to call out Daniels, and the Commanders quarterback has responded.

Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels Takes a Stand Against Brandon Aiyuk

Recently, a clip went viral online showing a fan yelling “[expletive] Brandon Aiyuk” at Daniels, and the Commanders QB laughed.

This apparently bothered the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, who unfollowed Daniels and posted, “Tf always so funny lil (expletive). Turn your savage up.”

Shortly after, Aiyuk posted a video calling out Daniels, claiming that Daniels told him, “You on my team now, you follow my rules.” Aiyuk responded, “I’m a grown [expletive] man, boy. You gonna have to start running behind yo mama and I might believe what you talking about. But until then, mm-mm.”

This evening, Daniels seemingly responded to Aiyuk by posting a meme of Houston Rockets superstar Kevin Durant with his thumbs down.

Then, Aiyuk made another post and tagged Daniels. This time, he’s seen wearing a Commanders hat and the caption read, “Let’s run it 5! Let’s see! Need you available all szn and I’ll do the same!”

It’s unclear if Aiyuk and Daniels are actually beefing or if this is all some elaborate trolling. NFL insider Benjamin Allbright hinted that it’s the latter, posting, “You all are getting played by a fake BA/JD beef, it’s all an act.” However, it’s unclear if he knows this for a fact or is just speculating.

At this point, it’s hard to know for sure since Aiyuk has been burning bridges throughout the league for months. First, with the 49ers organization, with general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan, with his former agent Ryan Williams, and then with the NFL Players’ Association among others.

Aiyuk has been trying to force his way to the Commanders and Daniels was seemingly one of the last people in his corner, so it seems odd that he would actually be clashing with him publicly. It remains to be seen if this is all fake, but judging by Aiyuk’s post, it seems he still wants to team up with Daniels in Washington. Whether Daniels is still interested is unclear.

The 28-year-old wide receiver missed last season while recovering from a torn ACL and MCL that he suffered in 2024. Over the course of his NFL career, Aiyuk has totaled 294 receptions, 4,305 receiving yards, and 25 touchdowns.
