Many, and I mean many, have questioned what the Los Angeles Lakers have been doing over the past week or so.

After making multiple moves to improve both sides of the basketball, including a blockbuster deal to land Walker Kessler from the Utah Jazz, there's definitely a sense that the Lakers are at least trying to improve.

Ultimately, we'll have to see how some of these moves work out, as Los Angeles has had a lot of problems over the past few years.

Factor that in with LeBron James leaving, and I can understand why many have questioned what Rob Pelinka has ultimately decided to do.

At the end of the day, the Lakers have a job to win games at a high level, but they also need to keep Luka Doncic, their new star, happy and healthy.

If Doncic isn't happy, there will be growing concerns about what the future of this organization might look like.

However, according to the latest report, Doncic is very excited to get going with the new additions to this roster.

“Of course, there is upside to the new cast of characters. Walker Kessler is a 7-foot-2 young defensive anchor, Quentin Grimes has 3-and-D capabilities on the wing, Sandro Mamukelashvili is a bruising forward with outside range and Collin Sexton can provide instant offense off the bench and competes on the other end,” Dave McMenamin wrote.

“A source familiar with Luka Doncic's thinking told ESPN he was "excited" about the new players and "looking forward to getting to work with this group."

As crazy as it might sound, I actually think this is perhaps the biggest story of the offseason for Los Angeles.

Considering some of the tough moves the Lakers made, and how polarizing some of them have been, it's important to hear that Doncic is happy. Hopefully, that will lead to some on-court success, as the Lakers desperately need it.
