Rams' Kam Curl reacts to being snubbed from 2026 safety rankings
· Yahoo Sports
Los Angeles Rams safety Kam Curl is coming off the best season of his career thus far, but he still isn’t getting the respect he deserves from outside observers. ESPN polled NFL coaches, executives and scouts by having them vote on the best safeties in football, but Curl was snubbed from the list.
He didn’t make the top 10, wasn’t one of the five honorable mentions, nor was he among the 12 players “also receiving votes.” In other words, he isn’t viewed as one of the 27 best safeties in the game, which is puzzling.

Curl appeared to react to the latest list on Thursday, calling the rankings “crazy.”
These lists crazy

His teammate, Quentin Lake, barely made the cut as one of the players who also received votes, which ranks him outside the top 15. Kamren Kinchens was left off the list altogether, as well, just like Curl.
Curl may not be a turnover machine like some other players at the position, but he's the only safety who had 100 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions last season. That alone shows his versatility and value, warranting inclusion in at least the top 27.
He'll probably head into this season with a chip on his shoulder.
